The experienced German coach, together with AGA Head Coach Christos Lamprou, are the special guests of the 4th Pancretan Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar, hosted by GK Goalkeeper Academy – a founding member of the Greek Goalkeeping Network.

AGA, along with the other academies of the Network, continues to spread high-level European expertise across every corner of Greece. This time, young goalkeepers from Crete have the chance to train under the guidance of one of the most successful GK coaches in the Bundesliga.

The camp’s level is high, and standout goalkeepers will qualify for the next stage of evaluation: the 14th Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar hosted by AGA in Athens, from June 26 to 29, 2025, featuring guest coaches Colin Stewart (former Rangers GK Coach) and Manuel Amoroso (Head GK Coach at Inter Academy).

As always, after completing both evaluation stages, selected goalkeepers will have the opportunity to try out with top European clubs.

The German GK Coach is no stranger to Greece, as he was one of the lead instructors at the 12th Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar of Athens Goalkeepers Academy in the summer of 2023 in Athens. This time, he will serve as the main instructor at the Pancretan Camp’s stop in Chania from June 20-22, 2025.

There, he will teach all the secrets of the position based on the most modern training methods used in the Bundesliga. Goalkeepers who stand out at the 4th Pancretan Goalkeeping & Coaches Camp will have the opportunity to participate in the 14th Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar, organized by Athens Goalkeepers Academy from June 26-29, 2025, in Athens, where goalkeeper evaluations will be conducted for international clubs.

Who is who

Despite being only 43 years old, Pascal Formann is one of the longest-serving and most respected goalkeeper coaches in the Bundesliga, having worked with VfL Wolfsburg’s first team since the summer of 2017.

Over these eight years, he has collaborated with head coaches such as Ralph Hasenhüttl, Oliver Glasner, Bruno Labbadia, Niko Kovac, Florian Kohfeldt, Martin Schmidt, Mark van Bommel, and Andries Jonker. He has also played a key role in developing Belgian international goalkeeper Koen Casteels.

His arrival in Crete once again reaffirms Athens Goalkeepers Academy’s commitment to bringing Europe’s top goalkeeper coaches to Greece every year, ensuring that goalkeepers across the country have equal opportunities for growth and development!
