Athens Goalkeepers Academy was founded on 1 September 2012 with a clear vision: to transform the way goalkeepers in Greece are trained, assessed and developed.
Fourteen years later, that vision has grown into a journey far beyond anything we could have imagined at the time.
More than 3,000 goalkeepers have trained at AGA. Dozens have gone on to play professionally for clubs in Greece and abroad. Some of Europe’s leading goalkeeper coaches and major clubs have joined us along the way, while our award-winning AGA Training Methodology has become a recognised benchmark in Greece and beyond.
Yet perhaps our greatest achievement is the wider impact AGA has had on goalkeeper development, something that cannot easily be measured in numbers.
AGA pioneered a path that did not exist at the time and played a central role in shaping the standards of modern goalkeeper development in Greece.
Today, those standards are reflected in the work of dozens of goalkeeper academies across the country, with new schools being established every year. Together, we are helping to raise the level of goalkeeper development throughout Greece.
Most important of all is what every child who has been part of AGA has learned: to work hard, persevere, get back up and keep fighting for their dream.
Today, we look back not to rest on what we have achieved, but to build on it. We enter our 15th season with the same belief, greater knowledge and the ambition to raise the bar once again.
