Athens Goalkeepers Academy is once again pulling together an impressive lineup for what has become the premier annual event for goalkeepers and GK coaches in Greece — and this year’s edition promises to be the biggest yet.
Two highly regarded European goalkeeper coaches, each with extensive experience at some of the continent’s top clubs, will serve as lead instructors at the 15th Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar, running from 18 to 21 June 2026 at Renti Arena.
English coach Andrew Lonergan and Serbian counterpart Dusan Gasic will headline the event as AGA’s special guests, bringing a wealth of knowledge and top-flight pedigree to what is shaping up to be a landmark occasion.
Training, evaluation and a genuine pathway abroad
Alongside AGA’s technical staff and scientific partners, the two coaches will deliver hands-on coaching sessions and seminars for both goalkeepers and GK coaches throughout the camp. Young goalkeepers will also be individually assessed across daily training sessions, with the standout performers earning the chance to travel abroad for further trials with clubs in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and England.
The coaches in focus
Andrew Lonergan currently serves as goalkeeper coach at Liverpool Women, a role he has taken on following a playing career that reached the very top of the English game. As a shot-stopper, Lonergan was part of Liverpool’s first-team squad during their historic 2019–20 campaign, picking up both the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup along the way.
Dusan Gasic, meanwhile, is one of Serbia’s most respected figures in goalkeeping development. He currently holds the position of Head Goalkeeper Coach at Red Star Belgrade’s Academy, having also worked with the club’s senior side at various points throughout his career.
All attendees, whether players or coaches, will receive an official Certificate of Participation, personally signed by both Lonergan and Gasic.
A Spanish flavour and a summer programme discount
The action doesn’t stop there. Hot on the heels of the 15th Goalkeeping Camp & Seminar, AGA will launch its Summer Goalkeeper Preparation Programme, a three-week intensive running daily, Monday to Friday, from 29 June to 17 July 2026, also at Renti Arena.
The programme will be led by Spanish goalkeeper coach Roberto Dominguez Esteban, adding yet another international dimension to AGA’s summer offering.
Participants who sign up for both the Camp & Seminar and the Summer Programme will be entitled to a special combined discount.
